Our course in Citizen Science and its methods is aimed at researchers who want to integrate participatory methods into their research. The course provides and overview of citizen science practices across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, with a focus on active citizen participation in research projects.
Unlike traditional methods, where citizens often are seen as subjects to study, citizen science highlights the value gained by directly involving citizen. This the resources and opportunities in a project, but also create added value for the research, researchers and society as a whole.
