Indexing and numbering

Tarot cards consist of two parts: Minor Arkana and Major Arkana. Major Arkana consists of 22 picture cards. The images symbolize human understanding through eg. religion and legends.
Minor Arkana is the remaining 56 of the 78 cards in a deck. They are divided into the suits of wands, cups, swords and pentacles and is most similar to regular playing cards. Each series also has numbered cards and picture cards.

K. Frank Jensen has listed indexing and numbering for each card set. This refers to the various suits. This will also appear in The Library System.

K. Frank Jensen commentaries

Data in The Library System originates from K. Frank Jensen's physical index cards. Descriptions of the material are Jensen's own texts on card sets and books.

For most card decks, Jensen has noted a comment on the card set of varying character, and this is stated in The Library System. The descriptions are an expression of Jensen's own opinion and not Roskilde University Library. The texts can give an understanding of Jensen's thoughts on the development within the genre and his perception of different tarot cards.
